I searched around and havent had any luck finding a diagram or anything for that matter. I have had this 15 for a while and have never hooked it up and now i want to mess around with it.

Its a quad 1 ohm, so if anyone has a link, diagram, good description on how to wire it i would appreciate it.

I am running a modded 300hc and would like to run as close to .5 ohm as possible, but all options would be cool as well

Thanks, matt

I wired one of my cousins Audiobahn Immortals ( Quad 1 ohm )to 1 ohm once.. didn't have any problem... Is there something wrong with wiring it so that it is like this...

two channels are wired in series with each other... same is done with the other two.. then take the two ( now 2 ohm loads ) and put them in parallel to the amp.

Will that destroy a speaker cuz if so ill tell my cousin to rewire them even though it's been a good while like 6 months with no problems. It's wired to my 18001DT that i sold him. If so that was a very newbish mistake lol. I just figure it would be like wiring two Dual voice coil subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif to get the desired ohmage.

You did it correctly. Don't worry.

the impendance will rise with heat correct
A speakers impedance is not linear over it's frequency range. Right around resonance it exhibits a sharp peak that maxes out at usually at least twice its nominal value. What you are referring to is called power compression. As the temp of the voice coil rises its resistance increases, but resistance and impedance are two different things. Resistance affects both AC and DC and is one component of impedance. Impedance only affects AC and is affected by the resistance and the coil moving in the motor gap thus its dependance on frequency. Impedance will rise with heat but it will be high at resonance from the very beginning. If you are going to wire your sub to .25 ohms and run the hell out of your amp, you must be very careful what frequencies you play. Before doing anything, I would be sure to run your speaker and enclosure through a program such as WINISD that will give you some idea of an impedance plot so you don't risk your amp.

Lol I guess years and years of reading physics books and MECP, and Loudspeaker Design books finally paid off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
