Qestions between 2Ohmz and 4Ohmz

So, I am about to buy two SD-12 , I just don't know if I should buy the 2Ohm or 4Ohm,

Ohmz is just how low it hits, I think, right? Lower the better? Or?

I am also getting a Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D D-Class Mono Block to power the two, good?

Ummm....you really should read about how car audio works. You are so far from the truth it isn't funny. In order to educate you properly would take a novel here.

You should go here - Basic Car Audio Electronics

Read as much as you can, then when you are done that site, and if you have any further questions, please ask then.

Yeah bro, the lower the ohmz the lower it hitz.

No, you choose the ohm you need for your amp, your amp is stable down to 1 ohm, so you need dual 4 ohm subs, wired in parallel, to make 1 ohm. Those subs need more power than that amp can produce, but because you will probably have the bass boost and gain cranked, that amp will be just fine.

Alright, thanks for giving me a answer instead of telling me "Your so wrong, lulululululz, go read this 350 page article then come back"

Have a better amp you would suggest?

We arent going to spoon feed you. If you dont do the research yourself you will just mess it up.

As these guys have said, Impedance (the ohm rating) has nothing to do with how the woofer will sound. Focus your attention to the enclosure for your sound characteristics. I would at least get a 1500w monoblock amp that does it's power at 1 ohm, then you can get the Dual 4 ohm subwoofers and wire them down to 1 ohm.

I'm actually glad you joined, you will learn a LOT if you put in some effort.

If this is your very first build you may want to start with a little less power it's not hard to get loud on 1000rms and the right matched set of woofers/woofer, and that won't require you to re-do your electrical if you run a ton of power without the proper upgrades you will ruin a ton of equipment.

if u dont want to do the research. have a shop do it for u, otherwise ur going to ruin ur equipment or worse hurt urself. im not being rude, im warning you
