putting together a comp/daily setup

After being educated on the big 3, having a strong electrical system etc. I was told by someone since I'm new to this I should start small. But I don't want to spend money on something I won't be happy with //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif and I still want to learn. So I've been researching a alot and I have a trunk car it's pretty good size. Being at a few comps and hearing some of the amazing setups I'm just inspired to put something together I can be proud of and I love LOUD The vehicle is an 02 Intrepid. Budget Do Not Want tTo Exceed 7k

THE BOX

I was thinking of having the trunk sealed off and having the subs firing into the cabin.

SUBS

I want to go with 15's BUT I'm told a good pair of 12's will do the job. Just so many options. Really looking into 2 RE XXX 15's

AMPS

Not sure how many watts I'm gonna need to push those XXX's suggestions?

Well I wanted to put this together and not look like a dumass for me being new to the forums.

$7K? you could get a pretty **** nice system for $7k

I have a '96 LHS... which is almost the same as a 1st gen Intrepid... nice cars.

I would do two 15's in the trunk... is your trunk anything like my LHS?
