putting a 18 in my trunk need lil help

I have a 05 impala and my custom 18 by psi. Im building a box thats 34wx30dx14.5t. 6.9 cu ft. Sub up slot port to the rear of the car. Im wondering what the best way to brace the box is and in what locstions. My amps change alot but ill be giving it between 2500 and 3k rms daily application. Any extra input on this would be great.

Bracing depends on the design of the enclosure. Putting it where it is needed, but not in the way of anything or causing issues with the design itself. I would try to side fire the port though, will likely have a better response.

Side port wouldnt have much room to breathe. And ive been wanting to trade the sub for smaller subs.
There should be a rather large area at the back of the trunk to load the port off of, unless you have batteries or other things in the corners.

You shouldn't have that hard of a time trade, but then again this is the slower time of year for audio sales/trades.

Yea sub displacment is 0.19.. I need to just sell the 2 18s i have and get some 12s.

You meant 21's, not 12's, right?

Build the box inside the trunk and face sub and port forward. I really like mine like that in my civic, but i had an 8" aero firing sideways into a front firing slot.
