Putting 2 12's through rear deck...

Hey, Im just curious if anyone has done this or something similar to it. Its just an idea I have for next summer, but I wanna kno some baisic things. One: What kind of prep work is needed for the rear deck (sound deadening, strengthening, complete tear out) before any MDF is used. Second: How to build the box to for the subs (just build one and mount it to the underside of the deck and cut some holes from up top for the subs?) I dont want to do free air with my subs. Number three is a general question as to how to finish the deck, putting carpet on and what not and then actually mounting the subs in place. I have a few ideas but want to hear some more before i seriously consider this project further. Any help or advice on this is welcome. Thanks Alot guys. ~Austin

i would just cut out a piece of 3/4" mdf to the same size and shape as the rear deck and nut and bolt it to the rear deck. then go about building the sides. if you can build the box to the correct size and then bolt it up, you da man. you could even get away with actually hanging the box from it and then building supprts or something so not all the weight is in the rear deck. after that maybe some 1/4" hard board on top, to make it flat, and then carpet or whatever.
