i forgot to mention that the way the remote wire is hooked up is hes got it ran to a 2 way amp fuse and its not hooked up straight to my cd player i took the stock one out i got a new head unit

Dammit dude, learn to use periods and punctuation in your sentences. Reading your initial post hurts my brain, and I have a ME degree....that's saying something.

Make sure the power is wired directly to battery, the grounds are all good (for the HU and amp both), and the remote wire is wired directly to the HU. Also be sure the remote wire isn't being pinched by your seats or any other hardware and it's not shorting out anywhere. Also make sure your amp is getting good air circulation.

From the sounds of it, after reading your retarded first post about three times, it seems like the amps work in your friend's cars but not yours. That rules out the possibility that the amp has a problem. I'd also check that your antenna connector is properly installed in the HU, as that is a ground point for many older cars. In my Maxima, for example, if the antenna is not connected the HU will not turn on at all, and neither will the amp.

Ok heres what i've done so far. I changed the power wire, grounds, and ran the remote wire directly to the hu. my antenna connector does not fit in my stero but i was having the same protection probleam with my old stock head unit. I also bought brand new rca's and it also didnt help it. I looked at how it was wired it was wired correctly at 2 ohm load in the box i told you all wrong too my speaker is a 4 ohm kicker l7 dvc. My power wire and ground wire is 6 gauge if that helps and yesterday my friend ran sum speaker wire from his amp and i ran sum from my sub and connected the two speaker wire and the sub was making his amp go into protect but he has a 600 watt power bass amp.

O yea about that antenna not fitting my car is a 2007 Chevorlet Cobalt Lt you think that would affect me? and it was hooked up to my stock hu which the remote wire was ran rly weird cause my stock hu didnt have a place in the back of it for rcas and remote wire he had to put a device in it for the rcas as well.
