2x - KICKER 10" COMP VT SVC 2Ω - Max Rec Amplifier Power (WATTS PEAK/RMS)* 800/400
1x - PIONEER GM8500 1200 watts Class-D Mono - 600 watts x 1, at 2Ω; 300 Watts x 1, at 4Ω
Question: Since the KICKERS can handle a max RMS of 400 watts, I assume the safest way (to protect the subs) would to wire the subs in "series" to double the impedance (4Ω) and have the amp push a 4Ω load (300 watts to each sub)? If the amp was sending a 2Ω load (600 watts) that could potentially damage the subs since their max RMS is 400 watts, correct?
