protect mode??

i think my amp went into protect mode this morning cause i had it really loud and then it stoped. so i donno. can i get it out?

If its blown, no.

If it went into protect temporarily, then it'll return to normal when the conditions are met.

yea....what amp you are running, subs, how they are wired, and if you have any electrical upgrades?

ohh yah i got stock electricals. its a kenwood 400w 2channel thats bridged, to a tc sounds t9 sorry but i forget what its called when you wire the 2 terminals together on the woofer

if you got that woofer wired to 2 ohm bridged kenwood dont like that.. do you smell anything

i only smell that when it gets really hot from blaring it over extended time but i usually dont crank it up so it usually does a fine job when it turned off i didnt smell anything so thats why i thought it went into protect mode. any better way i should wire it?

kenwoods are notorious for over heating......which can lead to blown mosfets. If it is in protect and won't come out of protect it is most likely blown

Turn off, cool down for a minute or two, turn on.

Otherwise its blown.

i found the problem i blew the fuse. haha ima go pick a new one up and keep you posted
