Okay, so I installed my new amp saturday night, a Kicker KX850.4 for my components up front, and REV 6.5's in the rear... Finished at like 2 in the morning haha. So I did a test run that night, with the gains maybe 1/8th of the way up, and I had to turn the volume on my DEH-680MP up to almost 50 to get it loud. So yesterday morning, I cranked up the gains a bit more (Need to find my DMM) to about 40% of the way up. Sounded great for about 5 minutes, then I started noticing horrible noise coming through the speakers. Sounds like popping, and was mostly prevalent at higher volumes, and got progressively worse to the point where it was even . When I got where I was going, turned down the gains to about 25%, and the noise went away. I'm using all Knukonceptz wires, and a DEH-680MP headunit. I need to ground the RCAs because I can hear alternator whine. Its gay lol. Any ideas what my crackling/popping sound could be?
