pros and cons on new setup

Right now i have 2 12" infinity references in a 2 cu ft sealed box off of a 800w rms amp. I'm looking into getting a RE Se15 and porting it to about 28-32 but i have a problem doing this my max dimensions are 16" high, 38" wide, 13" deep ( I want to still be able to use a little of the back of my 4 runner.

So, what would be the pros in doing this and what would be the cons. I'm not trying to compete, i really just want better low end bass. I have never heard an Re sub before but from what everything i read on here they sound pretty good. Would putting it in a smaller ported box hurt it? they reccomend 4 ft.

I see nothing but good coming from that swap...

And if you can add a few more inches to the height then the enclosure size will be fine (or the depth, or width if possible, whatever...)

the max height is 16 cuz i still wanna use my cargo cover, and 38" is all i got between wheel wells. I could go a lil deeper but like i said im trying to save some space to still use the back if i need to. Is it really neccesary to make it an inch or two deeper since im giving it 200 more watts then suggested?

And if you're really pressed for space, you can extend the box over the wheel wells to gain some volume, then make a beauty plate that fits the conture of the floor, wheel wells, and the sides of the box. So the actual box will look like a stretched out "T" and the beauty plate will give the appearence that the box is fiberglassed in the shape of the floor. If that makes any since at all?

This design will only work if the front of your box doesnt extend past the edge of your wheel wells. If your box will, then make it wider and notch out the back corners for the wheel wells. That way you will gain volume and still have trunk space in front of you box, but the box will take up more of the width of the car.
