Proper Staging

hey im a semi-newbie to the proper staging to get good sq. right now im awaiting on some custom kick panels that a friend is building for me. i have 2 way component cdt ef (carbon fiber cone woofer) now. im adding cdt cd-4 and a 3way xover. the woofer will go in the door, and the mid and tweet will go in the kicks right beside the door. i think that having my tweets in the kicks that i will loose alot of my higher frequencies up toward the dash. is there a remedy to my predicament? my initial thought was to get cdt's upstage kit and mount that somewhere on the dash. also, i have a jl audio 300/2 powering my soon to be 3way setup. would i need another amp to power the upstage kit? or is there an amp that i should replace my 300/2 to power my 3way and upstage kit. this will be passive btw...thanks for any input

hmm, running passive is ok but fully active will give you the control youll need. I would HIGHLY recommend at least doing the midbass seperate from the mid/tweet since path lengths will be different. With a 3 way system, your going to need plenty of processing. I would HIGHLY recommend slowing down and doing a 2 way set up and getting that dialed in correctly. 99.9% of guys trying to do a 3 way front end will NOT be able to make it work without the the knowledge needed, and nothing personal....you dont sound like you really understand how hard it is to make it all work together.

truth

i placed the mids and tweets in the kicks to be closer to the door speaker for the purpose of sound wave lengths will be closer. what amp and/processor would be recommended? also could i just run one set of tweets in stock location off of the headunit?

btw i have a 2006 honda civic coupe

thanks for the compliments on the kicks. anyone can PM me if they are interested in any fiberglass work. the guy that made those kicks works with his customers to get exactly what they are looking for and as you can tell, quality is top notch...

but back on topic. can anyone lead me in a direction to take? or would anyone recommend what they would do in my position?
