proper break in procedures of type r's

Precisely eight to nine and a quarter hours of play time at a volume no higher than 12 on your Alpine. If you exceed the volume or time limit, you'll have to send the drivers to an authorized Alpine dealer, where they'll have to re-lube the voice coil with a lemon juice and calcium chloride solution.

Just plug them and in start using them as you normally would.
Break in time = overrated
+1 on that. It seems like something people use an excuse for their woofers ******* "oh, they're just not broken in yet".

Although I know with alot of audio equipment, it makes a difference, I just have never noticed anything with woofers. Sure, maybe they might be stiff for the first 2 minutes, but then it should be fine.

I think your supposed to plug them into a wall socket for a couple hours

hell there Type R make it a 220amp socket, those super subs can take anything thrown at them

don't forget to burp it on your shoulder.

i boomed mine right out of the box. didn't know there was a break-in time for them. they were banging so hard w/ the bd fosgate amp that the nieghbor down the block 5 football fields away came down and ask me to turn it down becasue it woke her graveyard shift tenants up.

STRAIGHT BANG THEM JOKERS AS SOON AS ALL THE POWER IS HOOKED TO EM.

Yeah anyway......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

haha, so even after they are broken in, they wont get much if any louder than what they are right now??
That's generally speaker dependent. Some woofers do hit harder after a couple days/weeks b/c the suspension loosens up. Others just come as loose as they'll ever be straight outta the box.
