Nice, but I'd strongly urge you to port a Power HX2. They come to life and wang hard!

For daily driving it isn't too big of a deal for me to have it incredibly loud... I do realize that this sub should be in a ported box, and I will build one, but I wanted to try out the fiberglass thing.

As for the water thing, the fleece isn't totally saturated, making it still soft on the bottom. Which I guess would dry eventually, but what would I poor the water into for actual volume? A gallon jug or what?

**edit** Would it then NOT be reccomended to put my sub in a plastic bag, and put it in there and let the water pour out - then causing displacement of sub to be considered too?

if the enclosure is big enough after you measure the volume with water, you could port it easily using one 4 inch port, just an idea to save yourself from making another box.

RF's recommended box for the 12" power HX2:

sealed

.40cubes (res freq of 50Hz, q of 0.666) OR

.7cubes (res freq of 42Hz and q or 0.552)

ported

2.5cubes, pref tuned to 35~45Hz. I don't see them even listing anything less than 2 cubes.

And as for the easy to port, it will depend on the box and power.. if he's sending a lot of power to it, then a single 4" port might produce too much audible air turbulence or port noise.

Im getting the volume of it in about - Oh.... 10 minutes, Ill report back! How about a smaller ported, with some foam? (or the stuff that makes your box 'bigger' to the sub?)
