Finaly finished today.

It took me and a buddy of mine who used to do installs 12 hours today to get Project Kia finished. We ran into a HUGE snag which set us back about 5 hours. After we finaly figured out how to get the wires for the comps from the cabin of the car into the door, everytihing went smoothly. Kia has decided that instead of running a continuous set of wires from within the car cabin into the door (through a rubber boot) to power the factory speakers, power windows, locks and mirror, they decided to put a friggin molex plug that snaps together in the kick pannel of the cabin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif The passanger molex plug had enough free slots that we were able to drill 4 holes within the plug and run the wires through the holes into the door. The drivers side wasnt so easy. Because of the power window control center, the power mirror adjustment and the factory speaker wires there was no room in the molex for the wires to go through. We decided to get the big guns. AIRTOOLS! A diamond honing bit and a pneumatic wrench was all it took to put a nice size gap between the molex cutout and the soon to be wires for the drivers side comps. Thank goodness we were lucky enough to have a install bay and all the tools for the whole day. The owner most definately deserves a big thanks.

I will post the final install after I get some rest...it has been a LONG day.
