Project KIA has begun :) *PICS*

Quick question on the Alpine. I'm about to purchase a CDA9855 too and was wondering your thoughts on them. Also, for iPod connection, do they support the new fast iPod connection where you just need to buy the cable that connects directly into the back or is it the one where you have to buy the box?

No they don't support the fast ipod connection. You need to buy one of the HU's from the new 06 line up for that connection.

After a long week at work I was able to do a little more tonight. Progressing right along...

I managed to get a pretty nice cutout for the new sub. One thing I wanna mention is that the Kicker supplied cutout template that is part of the packing box SUCKS! It is waaay too small. Polecat fix this please!!!!!

After several adjustments with the jig saw, I was finaly able to fit the L7 into its new home. It took a bit of pursuading with the ol hammer and a wadded up sock, but it will be a nice fit once it is done.

I installed the terminal cup as well.

That got a nice seal with some good 'ol caulk.

I dont know if my schedule will allow me to get anything done this weekend so all of you will have to wait a little longer for the finished product. Anyway, that is probably a good thing as my Viper 791xv should be here next week:up2somet:

Don't want to be without it with all this going in soon...

Enjoy!

The pic acutaly has the box with out the bottom. I couldnt wait to throw it in and see how it looks. Got plenty of room height wise.

I am still scratchin my head how to attach the floor...

I got input from Polecat as far as the size. I wanted a sealed box as I am not into the Ghetto blasters heard from blocks away. I decided on this based on the amount of room that was in my trunk.
