concerned about the rearmost midbass in that door: will the door close? it looks lower than the bottom of the panel. and do you have your tweeter placement figured out yet?

How is an IB even possible?

A bandpass is a sealed chamber and a ported chamber. A IB is just subs mounted in a baffle, with no enclosure. Just to seperate the front and rear waves.

If the sealed chamber is open into the trunkspace and not enclosed, then its just a ported box with the port firing into the cabin and the subs firing into the trunk.... And not a bandpass.

If the sealed chamber is enclosed and the better part of the whole trunk, then its just a bandpass with a smaller ported chamber and a HUGE sealed chamber.... And not IB.

It could be a ported chamber in the front, and a ported chamber in the rear... Then thats a dual bandpass, where each chamber is ported seperately, but not ported into each other. Its like an 8th order, but there isnt a port connecting the 2 seperate chambers. But seeing that this isnt the case, this isnt even really an option.

And since theres really no way for it to be a bandpass AND IB at the same time, I dont really see how you can combine the two. Thats like saying you have a sealed ported box. Its just the basic design of one makes the other impossible.

how do theyh workwould they work in 1.5 inch think wood?
The screws are 1.5"s long, and the threads of the nut go in 5/16" of an inch..

So if the speaker's rim is less than 5/16ths" thick, it will make it to the nut, if the mounting ring of the basket is 1/8" thick (my tc lms 5400 is) it will have 3/16ths" of thread if you put the t-nuts halfway in the baffle (did this once) then they would definitely work.

Tweeters I think I will put them in my A-pillars, the door is kinda close but should be okay, thanks for noticing though!

You're absolutely right, I never thought about it, was just making a title that I can't change anymore lol.

...hmmm well with a ported box, the sub and the port combine making it a ported box.

this setup separates the wave from the ported side, thus acting as a 4th order w/ a giant sealed chamber on the other side which acts like an IB...?

lol I dunno.
