Experiences with filing claims, price and overall.

My Ins just popped up $20/month through American Family and am looking for a different carrier. I've been with them since I started driving 15 years ago so I'm not all that familiar with other companies.

Best companies out are allstate & nationwide..

Im with Nationwide and the prices are low and cover more.

My entire audio system is covered for just an extra 25$ a month :p

I had a guy clip me once who was insured by Progressive. They had an agent at my work the next day cutting me a check. Not cheap but great service.
I have progressive as well and my wife was hit by a kid in a school zone at a 4 way stop. He refused to give a statement to the insurance company so Progressive marked him as fault and covered $3800 worth of damage. They even waived my deductible.

I got geico. Had it for years. Insured my system for $15 extra. For $8,000 Progressive ****** gave me the run around when some guy pulled a illegal U turn in front of the wife in a business district

Jesus! I don't think I've ever been so pressured to buy anything in my entire life, thanks Gieco agent.. All I wanted was an answer to a couple misc questions and he tried for a solid 15 minutes to get me to buy a policy. Like dude, just answer my questions! If I wasn't actually going to end up with them I would've just told him to gf himself and hangup.

I guess that's his job,but come on..

They're all about the same just go with whoever is cheaper. I pay 6 months at a time to get a better rate and every time I'm up for renewal I check the rates with all the competitors.

I'm going to have to start with the 6 months at a time now. My one and only ins company never charged me for monthly which is why I chose to do it that way. I'm also going to start shopping if my plan changes more then it should.

I was getting really good rates before because I was still somehow still attached (But my own policy) under my parents home/auto. They switched 4 months ago and I got a nice $20/month increase. They can blow me come Monday.

That didn't come out right.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Even if your rate doesn't change you should still shop around every 6 months. When I turned 25 my rate was going to drop $200/6 months and I ended up switching to a different company because they were $100 less on top of that.

My rate can't get much lower.

Well I was basing my monthly savings from Geico off the 6 installments instead of the 6 month policy figure. Ends up they add the $5 into the monthly quote already, so that means I'll be saving $212 per year by switching instead of my initial thinking of $150.

I'm a happy camper. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
