Problems with new system

SWINE FLU!!!!
let me explain the situation..

i had an old JVC HU with 4 crappy interior speakers in my mazda 626. I wanted a subwoofer, so i bought an Orion 600D and a 12'' subwoofer. I went and had it installed at best buy(i know) and it worked fine for a couple of minutes. Well then the Interior speakers all cut out, and the subwoofer kept working. The interiors are not running off the amp, they are running off the hu.

i thought the speakers might be blown, but they aren't because a. they don't make any noise and b. every now and then they cut back on, and they'll be on for a couple seconds then they'll turn off.

so then i thought maybe i was driving the internal amp in my HU into protection mode or something, so I bought a brand new head unit(pioneer premier 770) had that installed with 4 new speakers. Rockford Fosgate Power 4'' for the front deck, and 2 Sony XPlod for the rear deck(i will be buying better rear speakers eventually)

when i had Car Tunes install the Head Unit, i told them i needed them to check my sub/amp install because there was a problem, and i explained it to them, and they said they would.

well i picked up my car, drove to work, drove to the party store on break, drove back to work and everything was fine. Then on my next break i went out and sat in my car, and all the interiors cut out again.

i know it has to be the amp/sub because i have never had a problem like this before. So I was thinking i should just go back to best buy(since my installation is under warranty) and tell them the problem, and if they can fix it i'll be happy, but if they say it's fixed and it ends up not being fixed again, then i'll just tell them i want them to completely uninstall the amp/sub and reinstall it the right way first.

do any of you know what the problem might be so i can steer them in the right direction if they can't figure it out?

you think its the amp/sub install causing this

easy way to find out. remove power from the amp, and take out the RCA's. tape them don't let them touch nothing. (metal) and see if your speakers are working..

i don't think its the problem. i don't see how an amp would make your DECK stop producing music via its amplifer.

but again, remove power and rca, if its still cut out. its not your amp sub doing it.

i would think the ground on your DECK is no good, or your connections are crappy in the back of the deck.

check that.

ive had this happen before. the metal part of ur speaker wire is grounding on something. take all of ur speakers out and see if u can find a speaker wire thats bare. just tape it up

so today i brought my car back up to best buy to have the problem fixed, and they said that my front right speaker was wired wrong, and "we didn't do that" even though they're the ones that installed my front speakers. anyway they rewired it or whatever, and everything was working fine, then as soon as i pulled into my driveway my interiors all cut out again..

i need help i'm starting to get extremely frustrated with this all.

take it to a real car audio shop if your gonna have someone else do it. but i doubt it has anything to do with the sub amp. sounds like something is wrong with the wires going to your HU. i think the easiest way to test all the speaker wires to see if they are grounding is to get a DMM and test the resistance, they should all read near 4ohms

where do i get a DMM, how much is one, and can i just check it anywhere on the wire?

and i know bestbuy isn't exactly the best place to have something installed, but i work like 80 hours a week and it was really my only option.

should i just tell them i want them to replace all the speaker wire?
