i hooked up some new 6 x 9 in my cavalier this weekend and now it seems like my subs dont hit as hard. i dont have them hooked up to a amp or anything. anyone have any suggestions?

Nope. Just hooking up some 6x9's will not lower sub output. Either you unintentionally messed with the sub output, or have more musical fill in the car, you think the sub volume is lower.

Maybe you put them in the rear deck sealing up the once open 6x9 hole?

maybe not sure but it just doesnt seem to hit as loud. i had 6 x 9 back there before but they were stock plus i cut the rear dash to mount the speakers in. im not sure it coulda just been me.
