problem with

I got this problem with when i turn the bass like on +2 or higher then turn the volume up to about 45-50 then i get this distorted sound coming from my subs?

would anyone know why it is doing that

I got 1JL AUdio 12w7 and a JL Audio 500 watt amp right now

Well first off your are slightly under powering it, so you probably have your gains turned higher to compensate for it. So when you turn you volume higher on your HU it would cause distortion. If I was you I would check the gain on my amp and also ease up on the volume before you own that awsome speaker of yours. Last, I would look into a more powerful amp.

alright I am soon going to buy the JL AUDIO 1000 watt amp so that should be enough to push that one sub.....

yeah that would work , 1000w is the "yellow" zone for the 13w7

that 500/1 is giving it minimum power, at the bottom of the safe zone
