problem with subs cutting out

a friend of mine subs will kick out at medium to high volume. At low to medium volume they sound fine and hit pretty good. Anyone know why they would kick out on him?

Possibly wired to the wrong load? Is the amp grounded well?

its a best buy package. 12" alpine subs and all i know about the amp is that it an alpine. Its been hooked up for about 6 months now and this problem just started happening

oh if it just started happening i would def say bad ground or connection somewhere double check all your connections

i will recheck his ground wire and make sure its a good connection. I just dont understand why it would cut out at high volume.When you turn the volume back down,the subs will start working again after a minute
