Problem with Pioneer DEH-P840MP Unit

When I put on the radio face, the initial display appears, but then goes blank. The radio is stuck on XM and the last station and volume that I had it on before this happened. The radio works, clock works, lights work, and power windows and locks work. Not sure if there is an electrical problem if all this other stuff works. Not sure if the unit is toast or if there is another remedy.

Can anyone provide any advice on how to diagnose this? Thanks for your help.

Sounds like a common problem with the 840's/8400's. Search on ebay, there was a guy who'd repair those HU's for like $75 or $80 flat.

Or maybe it's time to upgrade?
