problem with pioneer 860mp

when i turn up the volume to 25-28 sometimes the cd player seems like its skipping, and there is no output for volume, then after a couple seconds the sound comes back on and then it happens again, but the cd player never actually shuts off, and same with the amp, they both stay on. any idea?

Is it skipping? How loud are your subs?

Turn them off, turn it back up to that volume and see if it still happens.

i have 2 12 L7's with a bxi2006d amp, and the weird thing is when i turn the subwoofers off on the deck adn turn the volume back up it doesnt shut off anymore

thats because your bass is causing your cd player to skip

you need to remount your HU such that it doesn't move as much

edit: mine has a rear strap to hold unit from moving..

well i did put 2 screws on each side of the cd player to hold it into place...i thought it was maybe because of the rca's or something, because i had a pioneer deck before this that didnt do this but i can tell on this cd player when i have it turned up that loud i can see the numbers and everything shaking in the screen,

any more suggestions?

i think this may be the problem because i pushed my hand on the left side of the front of the cd player and it didnt shake or skip, ill have to put more screws in and let you know
