Help w/ Pioneer HU

hey all i have been having problems with my pioneer 4900ib. this is the second one i have had and it seems like the rca preouts on the hu does not send a signal to the amp i have. Everything is connected correctly but i dunno //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif. I know the amp and rca cables work as for the amp i hooked up an xbox and it plays to the speakers.

so my component speakers and sub hooked up in tri mode to my amp get no sound due to the hu. But when i reconnect the rear stock speakers they play well.

also i tried using the rear preouts but that does not play either ( i have 2 sets of rca cables, channels 1 and 2 are in stereo to the front preouts of the hu and channels 3 and 4 are bridged going to the sub preout, leaving the rear alone.

yeah everything works good, its just the headunit i believe...the amp turns on
