problem with odd FM frequencies

Hello everybody,

I live in Greece, and just bought a used SONY FM/AM CD player for my car (model CDX-M850MP). Unfortunately, it seems that the device was originally purchased in USA, so it plays/adjusts only to odd FM frequencies (e.g. 98.3, 98.5,98.7 and so on). Does anybody know if there is a way to fix this problem and be able to tune into even frequencies as well?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Thymios

Probably not. That's why there are separate models for the US and European markets.

However, sometimes a manufacturer will have a way to change settings either via the controls or if it's an advanced enough deck, via a firmware flash.

Your best bet for an answer is going to be to contact your local Sony service center.
