drag it!
I'm chalking my problems up to the new alternator... but I'm in no way mechanically saavy.
We changed the alternator from stock to the Excessive Amperage 200A alternator I got from Nate a few weeks ago. It's been running fine, but it was always noisy... abnormally whiney since the second we started the ar for the first time.
This morning I was getting mid 11's voltage at idle and low 14's to up to 15 volts at UNDER 2000 RPMs this morning... and the whining was coming in very loud to the head unit... and when I started the car it would take longer than normal to actually start.
I was worried, but I parked at school and even left school without any problems. I go back to school for a meeting and go to get in the car and it wouldn't start. It would sound like it's cranking and then just not start. I did it two more times and it started.
Dom @ Iraggi offered me a great deal if I trade it in (since he's willing to help someone who got ripped off) and I'm wondering if I should pay the little bit extra for a new alternator?
