Problem with JL 300/4

I wanted to know if anyone had a problem with there JL 300/4?

My problem is that when I set my gains and set my amp settings, like when I set the gains, one side reads different from the other side...

when I use a test tone of 1000hrtz and set the gain to 20.0 vlts for the front, one side reads 20.0 but the other reads 18.8? same for the rears too...

set the gains for the rear for 50watts, 14.14vlts and same thing one side reads the 14.14 and the other 13??

anyone knows what the problem is??

One side of the Rca's from you deck are putting out more voltage then the other.

Reverse the Rca cables and see if the voltage reverses

ok, ill try that too.... anything else....

also, if I switch the rca's would it be the same thing, just the other side will read the 20 and then the previouse side will be 14?

Did not have exact problem. Had music on one side louder than the other gains set the same everything. I thought amp was messed up. I started the trouble shooting process. In the end it was the headunit after a day of trouble shooting. This was with a JL 300/2.

If you switch the rca's the reading should just flip over to the other channel with same weird reading.
