Problem with dual 2ohm Type Rs

Hey guy, I just recently put in 2 12 inch type r subs in my car powered by a Alpine MRP-850. The problem is when there is a lot of bass in a song the sub will cut out and i will have to pop my cd deck cover off and on again to turn them back on. I was wondering if you guys could help me figure out my problem. I was thinking mabey i don't have enough power going into the subs but im am not sure.

I do not think its the cd skipping. Low voltage might be it because just recently my car sounds like its not getting enough power starting up and its a 7 year old battery.

How are the subs wired? They should be wired at series/parallel to net a 2 ohm load to the amp.

I wired the subs like the instructions for the amp for 2 subs and one amp. sorry i dont know the name sorry i am kinda new to car audio.

See this link, look at the two diagrams for 2 dvc driver's, series/parallel and parallel/parallel. You should have them wired like the series/parallel.
