I'm having a problem with my Clarion DXZ765MP HU and I was wondering if anybody would be able to help me.
When I turned the HU on this afternoon the disc began loading, then started to play. The song came on but the sound was all distorted so I quickly ejected the cd. I had thought the cd was messed up so I tried another one. This time the display said error 6 and there was no music playing at all.
I went to Clarion's site and it said error 6 meant that the cd was in the HU the wrong way and to fix this problem I simply needed to insert the disc the correct way. Now I know the cd was inserted correctly both times and it still displayed the same code.
Is there anything I can do short of taking my car to the place I had it installed to get this problem fixed? The shop that installed the HU is an authorized dealer btw.
