I don't know of any companies that have the features of Alpine's H701 and screen/DVD player combos, all as controllable from the head unit as theirs are...

Clarion's DRZ is still one of the most capable 1-DIN units out there...

Denon's Z1 and the like are still one of the best transports/DACs out there, when using external processing...
