Problem with Clarion DXZ-835mp....

When ever I play a burned, non-mp3, cd, it doesn't play the last 30 seconds or so and I get an "ERROR 3" message. Anyone got a clue??

Error 3 is for scratched disc Check the disc make it sure its not scratched up. Does it play commercially recorded discs allright?

Well the discs ae not scratched. I need to look into it some more about regular cd's. I'll let ya know.

Well I have found out that I only get the error message when I play a burned CD.

Really really annoying...anyone got a clue????

BTW: there are no scratches on the cd's and they play fine else where.

It is the deck. Mine needs to 'warm up' for about ten minutes before it will play anything burned. Pisses me off. Sonds like you are getting something ~similar.

i usually only play burned mp3 cd's, they never have a problem playing in mine, maybe the cd player lens needs cleaning? or it could just be a problem with the unit, but i doubt its "normal".

Oh, I'm sure it isn't regular. However, since I also have a problem with burned stuff, it is a relatively common problem with the clarion. Relatively speaking of course.

Well, the unit is only like 2 months old if that, so I don't think it's the lens. I use either TDK or Memorex CDR's, not some 20 for a dollar crap. And it plays fine until the end of the CD. Maybe Clarion will get an email for me...

i've never had any problems with mine and I only use burned MP3 cds... tdk, fujifilm, memorex and a few other brands of cdr

have u tried burning at lower speeds. sometimes a buffer overrun might occur at the end of burning cycle, in the finishing phase. How fast is your system? Too many memory hogs running?

Yeah, it is. It is the only problem though, so I'm thinking I will just let it be. (online=no warranty)
