Problem: sub popping

well if u have a stock electrical system... u aint givin the amplifier the right juice! therefore, it doesnt give enough power for the sub, so u cant get it very loud without bottoming out?
oh well,,, correct me if Im deadly wrong but it seems logical and experienced it...
how would i be able to bottum a sub out if i can't feed it enough power? doesn't make sense... if i'm bottuming it out, i'm giving it all the power it can handle.. or am i wrong lol

sounds like your having the exact problem i had, sub bottoming you need to adjust your subsonic filter your sub is unloading below tuning causing it to bottom out .
this is true too... i'll turn the subsonic filter up a bit... its set at 26 and it's tuned to 35, i thought that was acceptable?

might be one of those lable issue where on the amp it looks like your at 26 but really your at 20 cheap labled amps FTL

very true... smart man you are, i'll try that out tomorrow... it only does it on one song... in both situations... can't believe how loud it gets

Dont' mean to steal the thread, but mine does this too.

Not when I'm playing the music though, but when I pause it.

If I play Late Night Tip loud and pause in the middle of a deep note the sub will make a loud popping noise after it pauses. Ideas?

I can't think of any good reason to use a SSF in a sealed box. Part of the advantage of a sealed setup is the ability to go really really low //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
