I just installed a Kenwood KVT-514 headunit and am using the stock monsoon speakers and monsoon amp. Now, the speakers, especially the subs in the sail panels (this is in a firebird), don't sound as clear/loud as they did when I had the factory monsoon headunit installed. the bass sounds a lot weaker even when the volume is turned up and the clarity in general sounds worse. Can anyone explain to me why the speakers would sound worse using my aftermarket headunit with the monsoon amp and speakers? Thanks for your help.
