Premier shallow mount subs

Has anyone had a chance to mess around with one of these? I have an install coming up where a shallow mount sub is the only option I have. To date I'm only aware of the Tang band shallow 10" as well as the Elemental shallow 10". (yes I know what you're all thinking about those being the same sub. ) So if anyone has gotten their hands on one of these units from Pioneer speak up please. Thanks in advance.

I think kicker also makes a shallow mount sub, CVT I think its called

But what are everyone's experiences with them? This customer listens to 95% jazz and old school music. (old school = Al Green, Otis Redding, etc..) with a little R&B thrown in the mix. So SQ is a big concern.

I read somewhere that the kicker is better than the pioneer for SQ.

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like I'm actually going to try out the Kenwood shallow mount for my customer. Was recommended by a member over on DIYMA.

CA&A magazine did reviews of both pioneer and kenwood shallow subs and the kenwood was slightly better than the pioneer.
