Stock 601-1800 Help me choose subs

Well Im going to be competing in the stock 601-1800 again next season.. (Competitions are done here till next year)

First off the power amount im going to be using not sure.. Im going to try and get much as i can in that class with out linking amps, don't wanna mess with it.

So should i go 2 12" subwoofers or one 18" subwoofer with the same amount of power?

I was thinking maybe run two 12" btls

or two 12" fi bls?

Ive also been told try 4 l5's that will get me louder and cost the same as getting 2 btls

I have around 5.8 cuft gross to work with.

Please suggest subs and what not thanks

and no one try and sell me anything im not going to be purchasing my final decision till the beggining of next year, just trying to get as much research done as possible

in one of those car's id go for the more surface area, maybe a couple of solox 12's ?? at least that way you could recone them in no time.

I'd go 12's

5.8cuft is generally on the smaller end of things when using 18's.

thank, i plan on having my spl setup the same as my daily but with interchangable ports

i've seen some L5's do some pretty good numbers. When u think about it ur getting 400 square inches of cone area with 4 10" L5's vs. 225 with circle 12's. Thats almost double the cone area and supposedly 3 db gain. I saw a guy with 4 10"s doing low 150's in an explorer off around 1500 watts

well l5's are out of the question they would work good for spl but I dont have the room to run them daily so im debating either

Two 12's or one 18" Leaning towards BTL's but havent made the sub decision yet

dependant on the amount of depth you have to work with..if you got 5.8^3', you do. you're looking at a max of 1^3' sub disp...run aeroports external and you're left with 4.8-5^3's..
