Preference on batteries?

I have 2 optima yellowtops in back, but i'd rather have one batt if possible. So whats your guys personal prefs on batteries? Maybe i should just go with a 2400 in back?? Thoughts? Opinions?

a used d3100 on the forums for under 300 is the best investment you can get for a battery. they retail around 500 and are worth every last penny.

X2 on PowerMaster.

I am currently using 8) D925s. They are small enough that I can get creative on mounting locations, but they deliver plenty of power. I have never used a better battery.

Kinetik's/Powermasters are better than your YT or Deka's because they have a lower resistance and are designed for extreme, short bursts. YT's are deep cycle and have a higher resistance. They're more for extended low amperage use.

Edit:

Batcaps are good, too. They probably claim to have a lower resistance than Kinetik/Powermaster.

How will you use it? Will you need to deep cycle it? If so, get a deep cycle. If not, get something cheap from Costco, Sears, etc.

Keep in mind a lot of branded batteries are rebadged in some way or another.

I stick by Odyssey. I find the Enersys batteries to be really good. My tiny PC 1200 outperformed a Kinetik HC 1400 without a problem. To power..... absolutely nothing? lol. All I wil need is the PC 1200, which I would have had if it didn't get damaged in the Accord. Wish I had more slack on that power wire.
