PR Setup

Could someone help me with a passive radiator box for two or three Pioneer TS-W305C subwoofers? Should I have one powered and one unpowered, one powered and two unpowered, or two powered and one unpowered? How big should the box be (less than 3 cubes if possible). Would three subs in a PR setup be better than two in a ported enclosure? Help me please!

Any specific reason why you want to go this route in a vehicle? Tuning really low?

If I was going ported, I'd be tuning around 32hz. Not sure how that works with a passive radiator box.

A PR is a totally different thing than just an unpowered sub...just so ya know. peace

exactly, prs are motorless cones that you tune by the mass. theres more to it then that though.

I know that, but can't you use an unpowered sub with the motor taken off?

you could, but youre tning and whatnot would be pretty shitty

It's not as easy as just building a box and dropping in an unpowered sub along with a powered sub.
