Powering a sub

hey,

im a bit new to car audio systems and am not sure of what i need. if i want to put a 12" enclosed sub in my boot, but i am not too sure what i would need to power it, if anything...will i need a new cd tuner? do i need an amp? if so how many watts? and any other details...

read dude, do research.

you need an amp, a wiring kit, some speaker wire, and a LOC if you dont want to uprade your headunit.

a boot is the in the back of ur car, also known as a trunk...cheers means thankyou....and i know i need that sort of stuff, im asking for some specifics, thats wat forums are for arent thay?

first of all, are you trying to get loud, make it sound really nice, or have a mix of both?
