Loud DD?

I recently bought a RL-p and it wasn't loud enough for me.. sold it and am now in the market for another sub... I need something that will get loud, im going for single 12/15 ported, its going in the trunk of a mitsubishi galant... not a hatch or suv so it needs to be loud, I would fold the backseats down but they don't. I listen to a LOT of bay area rap/hip-hop and techno/trance. Price wise.. nothing over 300 dollars. Im thinking a MT? or SX? help me out guys... thx

The sub above is designed for SQ. If you want sq with spl then maybe go for something that can run small sealed box and get two 12's or 15's.

Might want to email them to get a price quote because I don't know what a single 12 or 15 would go for. Their death penalty series is supposed to be designed for SPL.

Or you could buy two 16kv2's. Not sure what kind of room you have in the trunk.

http://www.edesignaudio.com You missed out they had a deal going back in January where you could get a 16ov2 for I think like $135 shipped. Two of those would sound great and be very loud. And you could run them sealed small box and still be loud. I was going to do this but I had zero cash at the time.

Or you could run one of these. I have heard their sealed 15 and it was louder than 2 10's sealed that I owned, and 2 jl w3 10's and a single 13kv2 and 2 polk momo 10's. Downfall for their 15 is it requires a big box and even bigger if you go ported. Email this place as well because it goes for less than listed price.

One last thing is what kind of amp do you have? You have to make sure you can feed them enough power without giving them a clipped signal.

i'd prefer a single 15... or possibly 2 12's ported, the death penalty looks like a good choice, i might consider 2 15s sealed... question though, could i put both 15s in a single chamber sealed box? would it work out well? the room in my trunk is basically 2 12s sealed possibly ported, 1 15 ported or maybe 2 15s sealed.

I've ran 10's in a single chambered sealed box with no problems. I don't think you'll be able to get two death penalty 15's for under $300 though; you might be able to get 1 15 for $300, you'll have to email them. I believe I saw a video clip where they stuck a death penalty line of incriminator audios sub into a wall socket for a few seconds if I'm no mistaken (don't do this though). They're a pretty solid sub. You could get two 16kv2's for slightly under $300. They go in small sealed boxes or ported so you could most likely find some way to fit it in your car. I know 2 16ov2's pound good, not sure about the 16kv2 line but I'm guessing on displacement alone this setup would get loud.

no i didnt want to run 2 death pentaly's sealed lol if i could get one i'd run it ported, you think the 16kv2s would get loud in sealed?
