Powering a Car Audio Crossover Indoors

Just had a quick question, I have a Compaq computer at the house with a 19" screen that I watch DVDs on all the time, but the stock speakers are not loud enough or very clear to enjoy the movies.

I thought about buying a speaker setup with a sub, but money is so so right now. I remembered that I have a set of Infinity Reference Comps 6.5s I just took out the car laying around. I got a older Kenwood Reciever to power the comps and its getting a signal from a cable from the computer (3.5mm mini on one end, a pair of RCAs on the other). I also have a AA assassin 12 that Im planning on getting a recone on and building a small ported box for so I will have some low end in here as well.

It works fine for what I wanted, but I dont have any way of crossing over the Comps. I have a clarion 3 way crossover i want to install but I dont know how to power it. I have heard about using a power supply for the computer, but I have no idea what to look for. The Clarion doesnt pull hardly any power, so I dont need much just want something to power it with inside my room.

I have done a couple of searches, but not found a clear answer, if anybody can tell me what to look for to power it cheaply please let me know and thanks

Would something like that be enough to crossover the comps?

They sound great, but thats because im using the EQ on Window Media Player and im still getting the low stuff when i watch movies so I have to be extremely carefully with them. The clarion is just collecting dust in the car and i figured it would give me a lil bit more control on what frequency to cut them at.

I think that will work, seems like all i will need. The clarion doesnt pull hardly any power, and that looks like it should do the trick thanks everyone!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

That'll work too, but I'd prefer the wall wart thing. Takes up less room. That power supply from partsexpress will definitely work, but is probably overkill.

If you're like me, you probably have half a dozen extra AC adapters lying around the house. If you can find one with 12VDC (not 12VAC) output, with a high enough current rating, then you don't even have to buy anything!

Anyway, have fun!
