Powering 360 in my car..

Beware of Dog!
I am going to be installing a 360 in my car and I need to know if its better to run a power inverter or to just cut the power cord and hard wire the 360 to my electrical system. I have a pretty beefy electrical system but I don't know what kind of power the 360 will pull if its hard wired. Thanks for the help!

Don't listen to these naysayers. Splicing the power wire and attaching it directly to your positive and negative battery terminals will undoubtedly achieve the desired effect.

You wanted to destroy your xbox, right?

it need ac so inverter is needed
But doesn't the power supply change the AC coming from the wall into DC? Thats why there is that big power supply correct? Oh well, I'm going to try it and if I'm not dead by tomorow, I let you guys know..

Yes and No. It does run off of a DC current, however that is at a higher voltage. Also a steady current/voltage. An abnormal Voltage either way may kill it. As well as spikes, etc.

listen 360's have a hard enough time surviving while inside a house sitting in an entertainment center, a car is not a good environment for a 360. and whats the point. is your screen in your car an HDTV? seems like a waste to me.

Power inverter. No biggie. Get a HIGH wattage power inverter...not the 100watt one at walmart for thirty dollars. Hard wire the inverter, then plug your xbox into it, if you just absolutely demand your xbox be in your car.
