i would go with almost anything OTHER than fosgate now a days... after '99 and losing their main engineer, they have not been able to catch up with technology others are offering now-a-days.
kickers amp does around 1500 and so does RFs. Id probably go with the kicker 1200 because like MTX said, RF went pretty much downhill. Their amps will still do what they are listed as but that kicker is overrated and shows your benched wattage.
My rockford Power 1050S came with a bench sheet too! It shows 1262 x 1 @ 4 ohms @ 14.4V It is a 2002 model I think if you go with the RF power series you are more than ok as they are definately underrated as for the punch series i hear they have went down hill
I hate how everyone bashes RF now. I dollar per watt there might be better out there, but they are still a great company, especially amps- power series even more so.

I dunno about how bad they **** mine seems fine! I would bet it is more under rated than your hi fonics! I mean it kills me how a company that starts selling more products than most other companies automaticly sucks (unless it is JL then it is ok!) RF puts out **** good amps! Especially the power series and the older punch series is good and the newer punch series is pretty nice too!! And there are deals to be had on RF products if you know where to look! I am more than pleased with my RF power 1050s! not one complaint! I mean 1050wrms @ 4 ohms is pretty swell! And the bench sheet that shows 1262 x 1 @ 4ohms @ 14.4V shows it is slightly underrated! Anywho it just pisses me off how all of the sudden RF sucks?? What grounds does anyone have to say this? I have never heard anyone really say they had a bad RF product just that they ****! Rockford does not completely **** like everyone says.
Rockford is a large company that has been and is very successful in the car audio scene. Think back on the older style Power amps that everyone used to use and love. Just because everyone on this forum (including myself) has grown to love smaller companies that produce the best products at great prices does not mean that Fosgate sucks. It is true that their subs sound like crap to most including myself....there is no doubting that. However, think of SPL competitors and people who do not care about sound quality at all. Rockford would be a great affordable option for them.
I myself am not a rockford fan, however I would still get the rockford amp over the kicker just because of the longstanding quality of rockford power.... They may not make their equipment to sound the greatest, but I have never seen a Rockford amp that does not put out more raw power than rated.

ok so just b/c rf underrates their stuff that means what to me, NOTHING....
besides why the heck would i want to buy a pos from someone that can't even get their shyt together....... the more u underrate ur stuff means its okay to buy it b/c u have people there that can't get their stuff together....
oh and my hifonics has nothing to do w/rf so don't even go there...
lets not talk about the shytt deisng where u have to have tools to remove the stupid cover to make adjustments, that's gay

whoa, wait i almost did something that i don't normally do...... i do'nt gotta give reason for shyt - it sucks b/c i said so, good enough reason to me "really i don't like them, when i've had experience with them we've had a very hard time trying to get clean power from them...... we put it on a few differnet subs and they all sounded like shit, now pls tell me that something was wrong w/all the subs..... Also this has happened w/more than 1 rf amp, so i can't really say it was a bad experience w/1 amp its been a bad experience w/ a few of them.... that's my opinion same as edk - it sounds like shit so it sucks
oh and a legit reason is when i say it sucks b/c i said so..... if that isn't good enough - sorry

Thanks man i think now that LimitKid said so we can all rest easier knowing it is most definately true b/c you said so! Oh and more on the using tools to get to the controls....you dont have to use the end caps! But i think they look cool and i dont mind to take the extra 15seconds to take them on and off. ( I am one of the skilled ones that can use an allen wrench with ease! I know it is a true talent!) LimitKid, this is nothing personal against you i just think your opinions is retarded and probably uneducated. There many people out there with eD k's that would say they Love them and they sound great and even more people out there with RF's that say the same. I think maybe your install skills are lacking and you blame it on the equipment! And why is this????? B/C I SAID SO! If that isnt good enough for you....too bad.
