Hello all out there in car audio forum land. Had a question for those of you

familair with the Alpine SWR-1221D's (Alpine Type R 12" 2 Ohm Subwoofer).

For my upcoming system I decided to go with the Alpine Type R's and was

wondering what you consider to be a little overkill as far as powering them

goes.

I currently have a Lightning Audio S1.1000d amp which puts out 1000x1@ 2 ohms.

From what I've read the Alpine's are rated at ~300 watts RMS. Now, I'm not a volume

master and I understand how to "tune" a system but I'm still gaining familarity with

all products.

Thanks in Advance for your help!

it will be fine, i am tunning well over 1000watts into my type r 15....

and A hole the new ones come with dual 2 ohm and dual 4 ohm coils, no more svc
