I'm getting a Lightning audio distribution block, one 4 guage input and four 8 gauge output. I dunno if it comes with fuse, but i wanna know what kind of fuse i would need?

I have a Punch 500a2, i dont see any fuse. I'm installing a 4-channel amp with a 25 fuse. So what do you think? 60?

I believe the reccomended size for the 500.2 is 50 amps. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I believe the fuse for Rockfords is usually inside the amp which is why you don't see it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Most everything electrical has fuses on the inside. But I still highly recommended fusing the power wire. It's a couple dollars that could save your car from catching on fire in case of a short or something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I would go with 50amp. And if at all possible seperate fuses for each amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Okay, i'm gonna find some fuse, 50 for the punch 500a2.

I'm gonna install a Soundstream Rubicon 204, i think it has a 25 fuse.

So what kind of fuse i should use for that?

25?

Also how do you hook the power distribution block, after your main fuse, what length it has to be.... Thanks!!!!

25amp sounds good for the rubicon. I usually mount my distribution blocks close to the amps. So after the main fuse. That way I can keep the wire runs to the amps as short as possible. So you end up with the main run from the battery. Through your main fuse to the distribution block. And from the distribution block to the amps. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I went to Radio Shack, they carry AGU Fuse. Theres only 2 local sounds shops, probably charge you $$$ for a fuse.

They had only these

60,30 & 20. So what i should get with the Punch 500a2 (old school) and a soundstream rubicon 204 (fuse is 25 i think)????????

Thanks!

ps. do you know any about bass blockers, need ASAP Help on this!

I would get a pack of each if they aren't to expensive. I would try the 20 for the rubicon and the 30 for the 500.2. If they don't blow your set. The idea is to use the smallest fuse you can wth out them blowing. If the 500.2 blows the 30 go with the 60 but be careful. It's a little over the rated fuse size. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Let me go to your other post about the bass blockers I'll see if I can help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
