Post your job/career

Building automation technician/ project manager for a small hvac company. Been on a college site 7 years now. Used to work for Johnson controls but was laid off 1.5 years ago when they lost the contract. new company came in and hired me in a heartbeat. Was a decent pay bump too, paid bennies, company truck, and hourly rate north of 30 not complaining especially since another raise coming soon. When I started 7 years ago I had never even changed an air filter and now I'm running a crew.

I agree completely. Due to my quick learning and not needing to be watched over, I have been given a lot of projects and responsibility very quickly. One if not the only big reason for me going back to school now. Better career opportunity, and my current employer will pay for it if I stick around an additional year after completing my degree.

Might loose Baker with the new buy out from big red.
Weatherford is allowing baker hughes to continue as its own company under weatherford registration.

All contracts up to 2017 will keep baker hughes as owner company then they plan to change over to weatherford.
