They are maggies (Magnepan), and yes they are the speakers.

Biggest downside of them is they aren't very efficient and lack in the low end dept.

That's the speaker...Magnepan SMG's.

They could use new grill fabric, but all in all I was impressed for their age...

With a radiating surface that is that big, you don't need it to move very much at all.

You can use them for home theater, don't see why not - the guy I picked mine up from was using them as satellites.

They are pretty nifty aethetically anyway.

Mirage AVS-200 Fronts/AVS Center

B&W DM Rears (forgot the model)

Mirage FRX-S8 sub, planning to add another one soon.

Panasonic 32" 720P LCD









What do you think? I'm thinking about upgrading to a pair of preowned B&W DM602S3's for my fronts. I'm using 602's for rears in my main HT setup and they are awesome, but I don't know if it'd be worth getting a pair for the room.

A work in progress, I still need to do some more tweeks on the full rangers, need to be stained, build my new chip amp, possibly a DAC and DIY cd player but unlikely, and an EQ. BTW the speakers are Pioneer B20 8 inchers in an MLTL with a flared port (BVR or big vent reflex). Tweeter is just a Dayton 5 dollar capped at 10k...Hard to beat for the price (total 140-150 a pair).

Your towers look nice except for that black crap above them.

Is that the Dayton rear mount neo? I'd like to do a line array with those some day.

I'm also currently running off laptop's DAC too, I feel your pain. And also---gasp---MP3's, plenty of them...
