Post Dumping Poll

Should Post Dumping Be Allowed?

Using the term 'post dumping' gives it an inherent negative view (no offense to OP, he was just using the term we all understand here). I am one of the only 2 people who voted it should be allowed. To me, if a person is offering a fair price, it should be easy to defend, and in fact in the past Ive used 'post dumps' as an opportunity to point out why my price was fair. You can get it on ebay for 10 bucks cheaper? Fine, but will it come in pristine condition like the one Im selling. Or does the ebay item come with the extra features Ive added? You think what Im selling is junk? Fine, let me explain better all the advantages to owning this particular item.
Sure, if someone is just trolling the classified to make trouble, action should be taken to discourage that person from continuing. But someone just posting "my cousin sold his cheaper" comments are so easy to pick apart that they really dont bother me much personally.

Im fine with the no post dumping rule, its premise is understandable: ethical behavior and common etiquette. Im just saying it wouldn't bother me a bit if the mods here lightened up on the rule some too. *shrug*
Couldn't agree more, Audioholic.

I voted Supa's Mom...mostly because I'm still on the fence about this one. I don't want people coming into my ads and bitching at me about my price but at the same time I've seen some ads that are such a ripoff it's difficult to resist the urge to say something. But I think at the end of the day it's up to the buyer to determine if he's getting a good deal or not. Before I buy or even make an offer on something I always do a quick 5 minute research google to find what they go for on other forums or ebay. So I guess my answer is no, post dumping should not be allowed.

Oh yeah, and because of that, I voted Supa's Mom...at least this is a valid poll. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

I don't think I've ever been in the classifieds? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
I havent. I still need to gain some trust and gauge whose good and not before I even think about buying some stuff. Ive done one deal off here but it was local so no hassle, but it turned out great.

I've purchased some minor stuff from a couple of folks here but typically stick to eBay for the same reason...haven't been burned over there yet and based on the shit some on this site do, it will be awhile before I trust my hard earned money to some of these tools. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
