There has been an enormous amount of argument over the post dump/no post dump dilemma. So here it is. The arguments stand as:

Post Dumping allowed: You believe that if someone is asking a ridiculous amount of money for something, you should make it known to everyone in the thread.

Post Dumping not allowed: You believe that if someone is asking a ridiculous amount of money for something, you should either let it be, or PM them/the potential buyer(s) and let them know that the asking price is too extreme.

I'm not saying that either argument is right or wrong, but I personally think that this issue should be kept to PM's and out of the thread, because an item is only worth however much someone is willing to pay them for it, and that price is up to the discretion of the seller.

You should probably understand that this is likely not going to change the rules, which clearly state already that post dumping is not allowed. This is just a poll built out of curiosity, I just want to know what the community as a whole believes the rule should be.

And...as little as I would like to include option C in the poll, I know that a poll is invalid without that option lol

Thank you for actually taking the time to define what post dumping is. I am against post dumping. Also, fix your sig. The image doesn't exist.
No prob. I figured since it was a pretty heated topic, someone might actually listen.

I'm too lazy to fix my sig though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

people get the idea when no one makes an offer or says anything after a week or two and all other threads flourish.

does it feel nice to say someone an idiot for asking double what something can be had for on ebay, sure tons of people enjoy it, but it is post dumping and I think just for classifieds atleast it would be nice to keep the maturity level above such comments.

i think the seller should be pm'd if the price is too high..instead of dumping......if he has a product and getting raves on how nice it is...like its a good price...good product or good seller...i think they should be allowed...it helps a potential buyer feel confident in what they are gonna purchase...and about the seller

EBAY is full of scammers...so you can't base on what something used being sold on ebay...maybe when its a new item...sometimes the seller might not be aware of a price decrease from when they purchased due to be a closeout model now...and the newest thing when bought...think about the SOB's that had to have a Warhorse for $5000 a year ago and now they can be had for around $1300...Plus a lot of refurb shiit on ebay looks like it was beat to shiit and through the ringer yet they claim minor scratches from being used...like I said ebay is full of scammers
