Yes and no. Yes, if you post it in the thread. No, if you message them and let them know.would suggesting a different price or some constructive criticism (i.e., need photos, username/date) be considered post dumping?
And thus an infraction/ban deserved. If a price is ******* retarded a dump deserved.
Me neither. I just don't like the name of it.i dont like the groan button. it doesnt do my self confidence any good
I agree completely with everything you said. I will reiterate in different words though...... thanks..... oh, and price is an opinion, really, so who is to say that the product the seller is selling is still on shop walls with a price tag 4x what it's worth nib? i got used to either pm'ing, or just throwing up a reasonable offer. at least it's not like caco, where you can get in trouble for open bartering. also, it has been stated, that stuff like providing some specs, saing it's nice, or glws is at the discresion of the op, but i think asking for pics, or offernig a different price is ok as long as you have a genuine interest in the item. otherwise, report it if someone interested hasn't requested pics already, or move on to the next thread.
Now that I'm back in my groove of reporting classifieds threads that don't follow the rules, I am noticing this more and more. I should be reporting more post dumps than I do, I forget to I guess. Maybe you could edit this post to let people know that they aren't allowed to post "you need to put username/date" or "you need pics and prices", but instead report that issue or message the OP about it? That's even more prevalent than blatant post dumping, but it is still technically in the same category.

I'm not snitching. I'm helping clean up the classifieds and deter scammers by reporting threads without username/date in pics, no price, no pics, poor formatting, etc. I rarely go so far as to check the comments and report post dumps, but I probably should.
How about saying "GLWS!", then PMing him? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifwtf that doesnt increase my post count

It doesn't matter whatever the op lists the price for his items at, it doesn't affect you, unless it undercuts your price for the same item. Period, end of statement. If you feel the utter conviction to let him know that his price is too high, then take the extra effort to pm him. If not, you will get an infraction. You guys (not just saying this to you) can complain all you want, but that's not gunna change the rules.
There are very few rules on this forum, less than any car audio forum that i know of (definitely less than diyma/cawko). Classifieds are very important because it involves money, which these days is more difficult to come by than usual. Scamming is very prevalent on this forum, but less so since more rules have been enforced. The rules for the classifieds are very important. If you guys (not just you, tj) can't stand the few rules that we have here, then find a better forum. If not, go ahead and try to break them and enjoy a forced vacation.

If you say "You need pics or the thread will be deleted" IN THE THREAD (not through PM's), then it's considered a post dump and you will be given an infraction/ban.
If you say "Can I get some pics? I'm very interested in this item", even ITT, it's not a post dump.
Hopefully that makes sense to everybody.
