Post a pic of your gun collection.

Being a firm supporter of the 2nd Amendment is exactly why I wouldn't live in the state of New York for love nor money.
I listen to a lot of AM talk radio in my work truck (I can keep a signal much longer than I can any given FM station) and heard this story maybe a year ago as a prime example of the above:

Some guy that lived in Florida got transferred to New York by his job. Bear in mind that while residing in Florida he was a law-abiding legal gun owner - firearms were properly registered and such (we have to go through no such insanity in Louisiana...as long as you pass the background check there's no registration or permit hoops to dance through excepting carrying concealed)

Upon moving his family and establishing a new home in New York said man was in the process of getting the proper paperwork filed in New York state to register his home defense weaponry - but to anyone that has had to do so you know this isn't an expedient process.

Before the all the NY-state red tape had been navigated he encountered a man having broken into his home. He was awakened by an out of place noise in the middle of the night and found an intruder in his sons' bedroom.

This unwelcome guest was issued a one-way ticket to the county morgue by way of a handgun(in his shoes I would have done the EXACT same thing - mess with my kids=your impending death)

The district attorney for whatever county that contains New York City (Allegheny, I think it was?) issued a statement that he had plans to bring charges against the father for murder, not certain which degree, due to the firearm that was used failing to be properly registered in New York state.

Insanity, I say!!!!

For me ( I have a daughter ) it would depend if I caught him before, after or during whatever he was doing. If I were to see him standing in the room I would give the fvcker one chance to stop where he is while the police were being called and if one move was made a shot to the leg would ensue. If I were to find the fvcker doing anything to my daughter I would have to instantly end his (obviously miserable) life.

The reason I say if I caught him before he did anything is because my daughter would have a bad enough memory having a prowler in the house or her room but to add seeing the event of a person dying right in her bedroom would be too much unless I was given no choice. Personally I hope I NEVER EVER have to take a human life.

Hey phoneman, What are the exact laws in Oklahoma?

talked to a officer and was told if they are in you house kill em lot less paper work and less of a chance for them to come back and try to sue you over loss of work/damages.

i like the this gun club in tx(ted nuggent suports it). they say if you kill them in the act there is a rewared/bounty paid the the home owner of $150 but you must be a member of the club/group:)
